Mount Wood
This is from last week below Mount Wood, just north of the June Lake Loop. I went up to this area a few times during the last couple of weeks and the color was pretty good, but still not at peak. I'd like to know what you think about this one. Is the scene too split? This is a blend of two exposures.
Thanks,
Rudy

I was shooting this area a few days ago with some incredible lighting from the approaching storm, same day as I shot the mono lake image I just posted. Compared to when you shot this there's a lot more reds, oranges, and yellows.

I think you've got something here and perhaps a crop to a square from the rt might strengthen the image. Just a thought.

In a way it does kind of look like to separate images melded together even though I know it isn't. Looks good to me. I could see a the trees a touch lighter as they appear a tad dark on my monitor, but it could just be my monitor. Nice job.

Nice grand scene with a threatening sky and color. I like Cory's crop idea. It would highlight the main color area.

I like the lighting on this. The mixture of two seasons in
an image always works for me. The Aspens at various
stages of peaking are a nice touch to the composition.

Rudy,

Although I suppose this is technically "split" it really doesn't feel that way to me. In my mind the mountain is the large presence and the autumn forest is a colorful accent to the scene.

Cropping from the right has some merit, but I think this is nice done. Great sky up top.

Great blending can't tell at all Rudy. I do actually like the multi colored aspens more then just pure gold. Adds a little bit a character to the scene.
