Perhaps not the most flattering POV for this bird, but trying to get any half decent shots can be rather tricky at the best of times, as it seems their comfort zone tends to be rather large and they do not like company.

You have captured the jizz of the bird beautifully, Steve, and the POV is exactly how I expect to see one. My only criticism is a faint one, that I think it is a little large in the frame. However, it makes me feel as though I were back in Africa. If only...
Hi David, on reflection you are right, guess I was taking a leaf from the US and 'fill the frame'. Agree, it does need a bit more room to 'breathe', think this is better, plus a little gardening that had not been applied. Yep, Africa is certainly a great location, roll on 2011.

Great shot Steve, I like the pose of the bird, it looks very natural, personally I think I prefer the first, maybe something between the two, particularly as there is a lot of good plumage detail there.

Repost for me too! His glare is clearly telling you he doesn't like company! Cracking shot!

The repost for me Steve. Once again great detail in the subject.
I am in Munich at the moment so unable to call on images on my computer. I will either email you or post an image where I too was unable to get close enough to this species. I went wide to show the environment ie I couldn't get close enough after several failed attempts !!
Cheers
