New girl in town + UPDATE
Just came back from the UK. Had a smashing time with Danny and friends. Red deer gave us a hard time and it was hard work to get anything. Hopefully it will be better this week but unfortunatly I will have to miss it. Better luck next year.

Squirrel number five at my set up. Tufts are growing longer every day. I like this pose and the dark fur.

D3s and 200-400/4 iso 400 1/20 sec. f/4 full frame

Like everything about it. Pose is fantastic.

It was nice to meet you on Saturday Edwin. A pity about the Red Deer as you said. I think that was my worst ever trip to Bradgate. :frown:

Hey Edwin, looks like the set-up is working with some fine images as a result. They look so much better with the tuffs, should be good by the end of the year or New Year. :toast: :toast:

D3s, 1/20 incredible!!!!

All the best, TFS

OK, fair enough. I was planning on keeping it quite because I have failed and I am ashamed.
But Rene did beat me here because........I did not have my camera switched on :frown: This squirrel walked up with us on the other side of a small river. We had out tripods and camera over our shoulder. When we saw he was planning to cross the river we quickly set up our camera and when I pressed the shutter.........nothing happened.

Now the word is out I do not want to hear another word.

Attached you see rene's image and I congrat him with it. Well deserved and I hope his camera will drop in the next river he visits.

Really nice work Ed, although I do find the OOF bracken stem behind the tail a little distracting.. I have to travel some distance to get any Reds so I'd be happy with anything like it..
