Went to Mesa Verde for a couple days. Please tell me what you think of the editing and sharpening. I've been trying to find ways of improving online posts. The first is the Spruce Tree House Kiva.
Spent a lot of time waiting for clouds to make the ruins less harsh. This is a back wall of Spruce Tree House. If you look closely you can see some decor and a hand print on the back wall.
Thanks Dave...am trying to go back to Antarctica...just have to get a job.

Cynthia, these look excellent on my Macbook. Sharpening seems right and I like the exposures. The only one I'm not totally sure about is the spruce tree house...looks just a bit skewed to me...maybe 1-2 degrees CCW rotation would help. Could be just my eyes though.

Cynthia, these look wonderful. The pano sure works for me. I like the closeup of the petroglyphs too. Spruce Tree House is an awesome shot, well worth the wait.

You certainly got the sharpening thing down. They look crisp!
My fav is the Spruce Tree House. The shadows provide some nice depth. You processing looks good. Great job Cynthia.

These are all really nice, Cynthia. The one suggestion I would make for future reference is to try a polarizer to take some of the sheen off the walls and rock faces.

Great images! The cloud cover really helps bring out the colors.

17 repliesThe comps on the first 3 are very nice, the last is a little more challenging because those darn Anasazi were so tall.
