Hi all
Just to let you know I've put a short tutorial on my blog on my new method of removing leg rings from barn owls. Cheating, I know, but they are a pain when you've invested hours in getting the shot! Might come in handy for those who shoot captive birds as well as I appreciated you haven't all got barn owls on your doorstep!

Hi simon
I agree with you and not totaly convinced its nessary to ring every bird going.
I wonder how these ringers would like some leg irons on for the rest of there life.
Im not going to start down that road,
Anyway super light.

p.s. I hate the amount of ringing that seems to occur here in the UK. So good to see clean legs when in South Africa on my recent trip.
