Taken quite a few years ago but still memorable. He was very angry I think! Resurrected for you all to give critique.

Thats a big face,Look at the eyes and you can see he is thinking something,Where was this taken i presume a zoo as i have never seen an asain lion portrait this close from the wild i.e gir forest,Just click on which face you want
He doesn't look too ferocious in this particular shot but I certainly wouldn't want to aggravate him .
A nice close-up but I'd prefer to see the image without the small area of sky showing,as I feel it lessens the impact of the portrait.
A trully in your face shot, the eyes look pained and manic. I agree with Justin's observation though. I worked in a zoo as a teenager and played stalking with tigers, but gave that up quick after a mum decided to eat two of the keepers, big respect.
Nice one

Thats what I call close! I quite like the sky as it adds a bit of colour to an otherwise dark toned image. I quite like the composition as well.
(Hi David btw - good to meet at the Bittern hide in February - if you're interested the Bittern with Pike pic is on the website under the Devon Waters gallery (I know its not Devon, but didn't have a suitable other gallery ) - so close but no cigar!)
