A classic Birdwell. This is totally your style. I like it a lot, PB. Beautifully composed and a sweet little scene. For some reason, the bottom rock really makes it for me, really balances it.

I am not on a calibrated monitor, but I might like it a touch warmer, but not much.

It's like I can reach in and touch those beautiful leaves. Fabulous quality to this.

Preston,

Intimate, lovely and I would even say quaint... I like the balance and proportion between the rock and plants.

Can certainly see the Astia characteristics here. If anything, I might darken this slightly, but that's a minor and personal point.

Good eye, Preston! The yellow and blue flowers work well with the
green foliage. You benefitted from even lighting. Thanks for sharing.

These flowers must be truly ephemeral to be only blooming for such a short period of time. Just curious how high was this? Really beautiful intimate wildflower image.

Many thanks for your comments, everyone.

Harley and Lon: I'll take another look at the tonal values before I print this one.

Paul: This is at an elevation of about 9,200.

What a treasure to find in the fall. I love the repeated leaf shapes. The air must have been pretty still to allow a 2s exposure.

Preston, you can see every little detail here. Amazing how the flowers just grow right of the small slit of sand.

Many thanks for your comments, everyone.

I printed this morning, and following Harley and Lon's suggestions, I obtained a nice, rich print.

I love this place!

Gorgeous - love the leaf detail, water, and rocks. The lower rock anchors the image for me.
