This was taken last weekend on the Metolius River. We arrived there at dark on Friday and we tent camped for a couple of nights. It got down in the low 20's at night but the days were in the sixties with just a slight overcast. This was taken about 5:30 in the evening and I thought the lighting was pretty good. Let me know what you think. D2X, 28-70 F2.8 @F9 a third of a second with a polarizer, tripod and with mirror lock-up.

Erik, i like the comp and lighting. The colors sure are late this year normally this photo would be filled with lots of yellow.

Nice composition and lighting, Erik! Is that around the "Headwaters of the Metolius"? Did you go down by the fish hatchery? Some excellent places around there for fall color along the river. Leaves will probably disappear after the storms that are predicted to be coming in this weekend. :(

I love the Metolius, never been there in the fall though. I'm guessing this was taken near Allingham? I like the composition, but on this 10 yr old monitor I can't give it a fair critique.

We camp at Allen Springs which is just a half mile down stream from the fish hatchery. And Bruce, nice call on where this was taken. I parked at the bridge by Allingham campground and hiked upstream a bit to get this shot.

Nicely done, Erik. I like the evening light and the warmth it provides. This is a nice comp to, allowing my eye to flow into the scene and keep me there.

I really like this one Erik. The composition is perfect and the hint of fall color really adds to the image. Well done.
