You have no idea how much I am dying to get out to DVNP to shoot mosaics. I've got to say that most of my favorite photos from 2005 are from DV and I only went there twice, and spent maybe 36 hours in the park combined.
This one would be tough as a mosaic as the focal length is an astounding 750mm... I did that to compress the landscape tremendously. Even at f22 I would have some serious DOF issues. The DOF for that combination, focused at 1000' is only about 750' .

Awesome shot man, as great as your CCSP pics are I think this is best one you've posted yet. Love the light, shapes, and background. I think a mosaic would be overkill. I guess sometimes single images are the best tool for the job.
what i like best is the sand blowing off the dune.
Christian -- A beautiful and nicely composed image with a great quality of light...especially like the light falling off of the backside of the dunes. I also like the fact that you captured the blowing sands as well...makes me want to head Death Valley and chase the light (and escape all the rain here in Northern CA). Great job!

This is a very nice photo. I love the compression effect.

I had posted a response on the WC Forum; too bad your post is getting removed.
I absolutely love this. The effect of the blowing sand on that one ridge really carries this image to a different level. Well done.
