WOW this is a great shot! I was beginning to think I was the only one that likes close ups like this. Excellent comp, color and focus. I can't wait to taste the wine.
Thanks, Roland!
Most of the CA people here post (wonderful) landscapes and vistas of flowers....so let's shake them up a bit with some macro, birds, tarantulas, and closeups of grapes !

This is just beautiful Sandy, we could spend all day shooting these leaves. You did shake me but right now I think I would rather be squooshed!

Very nicely done, Sandy. I am really enjoying this intimate composition.

Wow that's some serious color. The vines here in Sonoma county are just starting to get the lime hue meaning big color is on the way. This is postcard perfect. Nice!

Sandy,
this is fantastic and motivates me to start checking out the vineyards, which I have yet to do. If you've visited the Napa Valley, which areas would you recommend? Along the Silverado trail, up towards the north end of the valley?
Lon, yes, the Silverado trail is always a good bet. I just drive around through the vineyards on the hills, until I find nice color on the vines and fruit right next to the road.
Good luck, and have a few tastes of wine too
