Trumpeter Swans
I just returned from my fall trip to Crex Meadows located just north of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. My primary goal was to shoot migrating Sandhill Cranes. After shooting cranes in the morning I drove over to the sand blow to get some close-up shots of objects in the sand. I was just composing my last shot when I heard what I thought were geese coming in at treetop level. I took three quick shots of what turned out to be Trumpeter Swans.

I posted information on conditions at Crex Meadows on my Blog
and have posted more photos of the trip on my Website.

Nice shot Phil. Like the light on the wings. Hope to catch some when they get down here this year.
