Shot yesterday afternoon at Roxborough State Park. Most of the leaves were past peak and/or fallen even yesterday. There was a few areas further into the park that still looked pretty good, but with the rain/wind from today they are probably pretty battered now. The afternoon was mostly boring cloud cover, but the sun broke through and created some interesting cloud cover for about 10-15 min, where I captured this. Your C&C is always appreciated.

I shot this tree when I first got into photography and let me just saythis is way better than mine was for sure! You've captured this very well Koveh...no critiques here either.

Simply beautiful Koveh. I think the sky here is pretty impressive, no where near boring. Lovely warm colors, great light! Nothing to not like here.

Super elegant, the image puts you right in the field.

Nice photo Koveh. That's the tree that I use in all of my "Sleeping George" panoramas. I finally got my autumn version of that panorama at the last early opening two Saturdays ago. I now have all four seasons of that panorama. I never posted it here, because panoramas show up so poorly on this board.

I wanted to go back over there last week, but I came down with the stomach flu and never made it. :frown:

This is really lovely, Koveh. Amazing sky and the golden grass & leaves contrast nicely with the blue sky. Good stuff.

Ditto what everyone else has said, the warm tones in this are superb and the comp is "rock" solid :toast:

That's just classic! Everything works from the comp, color, and light.

Nice image Koveh. It's a solid comp with good lighting.

All the elements come together so organically here. Simply a lovely outdoor portrait!

I was just over at Roxborough State Park again this morning and I'm wondering where this shot was taken while staying on the trail? From what I see from comparing my shots of the same tree from the trail, it appears that he must have gone well off of the trail to get this angle, which is very unfair for those of us that follow the very strict park rules. I hope that Koveh has a good explanation, since it would reflect badly on the rest of us photographers that do follow the rules.
I know that it's possible to purchase a temporary pass to go off-trail for photography, but my understanding from getting one for myself for a special project is that they don't give them out easily.

Jim, I used a telephoto lens zoomed in at 200mm for this shot. I did not have to step off trail more than 2-3 feet to get out of the traffic of people walking by to shoot this shot.
