Female Eider Duck
Hi everyone, another image from Saturdays trip to Slimbridge, with Geoff Baker. I was hoping for a flat calm mill pond, but when the sun came out, to add some light, up came the breeze. Typical!
There's always another time though. All C&C's welcome.
Regards to all,
Paul Rosser. :wavey:

Unfortunately, like the greylag you posted earlier, this bird also has had its wing feathers removed. Slimbridge is a good place to practice technique etc but when you're shooting wildfowl there or in other collections you need to check whether the bird you are focusing on is one of the wild birds that fly in, or one of the captives.

Sorry doesn't work for me - Clipped wings apart, the green water reflections jump out at me as being out of character for Eider. Loafing on a grassy sword to mimic coastline setting you can get away with, but not swimming amongst a tree based setting. - Eider just don't live in this sort of habitat.
