Chaffinch the corn snatcher
Hello friends,
last week I found this little guy in a field of corn. He opened the corncob on the top and pulled the grain out of the cob.

7D, Nikkor 600mm5,6, ISO 400, f8, 1/320, tripod in car,

C and C always welcome

Hi Bert.
Bert i have been watching flocks of finches feeding in corn strips that i supposed to be for game feed ,don't know if there will be much left for the Pheasants when they have finished.
Chaffinch looks good to me.

An interesting behavioural shot but it is a rather challenging photographic situation. To make the best of the image I think I would explore options for cropping the dark areas on the right.
