Autumn's Carpet
Here's a good rainy day project. Tour your neighborhood and collect leaves. Then spread them out on the garage floor and grab your camera.
WaaaLaah! Gorgeous Color!

This is a stack of 14 images, canon 7D, macro 100mm, speedlite, rail, LR2 and NIK's suite

Sensational, Craig. I love the colors and the comp. For some reason it looks a little soft. It could be it needs a touch of contrast...not sure. I love it nevertheless.

David,
Thanks for looking, it does look a little soft, I used NIK's suite (Filters, Warmth & Brillance and Classic Soft focus). I tried to soften the external flash by using a 1/8" honeycomb filter over the speedlite and turned to lights power down to 1/128th. My first attempt using the speedlite so I'm experimenting. I think I got the effect I was after.

Love the effect, Craig. Sounds like you are having fun with stacking. It never occurred to me to both stack and do a soft focus filter, but you did achieve a uniform softness.

Ha! that's great, Craig. You're putting together some wonderful autumn still life comps. The colors in this are sensational.

Very nice photo Craig. The softness gives this a dreamy feel...which I like. I really like that red maple leaf just right of center.
