Another from the meetup weekend. Taken with a variable neutral density filter, f 8.0, 1/2 sec exposure. Is it too dark? Too yellow?

Tony this looks like a really nice scene, beautiful color. The exposure looks great but it does look like it has a yellow cast. I think this image could handle a little more sharpening as well. The triangular comp is great idea. But I do have a nit about the comp: that big boulder right in the middle kinda blocks up the visual flow from bottom to top. Not sure what I could have done about that either though.
I agree with Mat's observations. It looks like it's suffering a bit from jpg compression, too. The color looks pretty good; bright and nicely saturated, but not harsh. Regarding the yellow cast: Given that the light is passing through all those leaves, its like putting a yellow filter on the lens. You might try cooling this off just bit, but no too much.
The large horizontal boulder does interrupt the flow. This is just a suggestion, but if you crop this from the bottom to just above the triangular boulder on the right, the balance of the image is improved, in my opinion.
I do like the concept here, and you had some nice color and shapes with which to work..
Tony, looks just fine here with a tad more sharoening.

Beautiful shot, love the colors in this, I do agree about cropping just below the lower right boulder, better balance.

Just to be different... I really like the comp as is. The boulder is pretty big and dominant, but the water does flow around it and I don't feel it blocks anything. the colors are just fabulous and the creek is beautiful.
A tad on the warm side, mostly noticeable in the water. but it's not off by much and I'm not sure I would even mess with it.
