I took this on the same hike when I witnessed the mudslide washing away a section of the Eagle Creek trail. This is tough location to get to, especially when it's as wet as it was this day, the trail down leaves you feeling fairly exposed as well, and it only gets more treacherous as you get into the creek; Just over the falls there, is a bed of rocks. Once there, it was a real challenge to keep the lens dry, and when it did get wet it took 3-5 minutes to get it dry.
I experimented with different shutter speeds to try and capture just enough motion, this was my favorite.

Just wanted to post a slightly lightened version, it was looking a bit dark.
Okay, this is looking down at those falls that everyone has to lean over the railing and look up river to photo? I want to rappel down to the river one of these days.
It's a cool shot, it's a great effort but I'm not really all over it.

Zack, I like it. I have not been to this spot. I like the perspective of looking down the falls. The rushing water draws you in. The colors look great.

Definatly a different take. It's always nice to seeing a different perspective. I have to give you credit for getting up there.

What a cool shot ! The lighting is a little flat but the perspective is totally unique - I don't know, maybe you should have had the camera lower so you had to lay on your stomach with water spraying all around you
