I always love this scene in the amphitheater at Wahclella Falls. This is a laptop process job, so I can't really tell if I hacked it or not. I mostly wanted to share the current state of the fall foliage.
For those who are interested, the color in the Gorge is looking really nice right now. The recent rain has all the streams really pumping too. I have never photographed the Gorge in the fall, so I have been making the rounds getting photos of all the usual waterfalls with yellow maple leaves the last couple days.
This morning I had the distinct pleasure of running into Ryan Dyar, Miles Morgan and Alex Mody at Elowah Falls. Alex usually hangs out with Joe Rossbach and Ian Plant back east but came out here last month to go to college. Nice guys and great photographers, all!

Excellent comp, Sean. The colors look like they're finally starting to pop. I'll have to get out there this weekend. Thanks for the post and congrats on an excellent shot.

Sean, this is a great shot of the falls and surrounding area. Glad to see there is that much water pouring out
of the mountains.

Very beautiful shot Sean. This one really captures the feeling of the Columbia River Gorge in the fall. Sounds like I just missed you guys at Elowah. I was there at about 1 PM on Wednesday and had the place to myself.

Thanks for posting this Sean. I was at Elowah the Saturday before and the flow was minimal, so your post got me back out there last Saturday and it was much better! Beautiful shot you took here too!
