**Your Opinion is Needed!**

As part of enhancing the NPN membership benefit package, Jim Erhardt would like to set up each regional group with their own image critique gallery, complete with thumbnail page just like the "main" NPN galleries. This would allow each group to have a forum dedicated to discussion along with a separate gallery dedicated strictly to photo critique.
We would still allow photos to be posted in the RG forums, just as we currently do, for images of locations, for species identification, etc.

Having our own regional critique gallery is not mandatory, so the question is...is this something you all would like, or not? Personally, I think we all can benefit from having our own regional gallery.

We just set up the CANP and PNWNP groups with their own IC galleries, so I'm sure they'll be populating those galleries soon. They can be accessed via the main Galleries drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Same here, Toni. I would love to have a gallery for for MWNP . It would be also great if a provision is made to post in two galleries ~ say MWNP and Flora Forum in one go.

I think it would be a good idea, at least worth a try. I have not posted to gallerys but will try to participate.

I think it will be great to have separate forums for region critique and sharing. I'll probably start critique posting ane reviewing again.

It's good to see that so far there is not one negative comment about the new gallery!

Okay...unless I hear some really good negative reasons for not setting up an MWNP gallery by tomorrow morning...I will tell Jim E. to set it up for us!

I guess i'll be the negative person here and say i like having the images and general topics all on the same page. I also am active on the Rocky Mtn NP forum and there is a strong sentimate there to keep it all on one page. I don't want to have to click on NPN, then the regional forum, then the image critique page. It's really nice to have the general discussion and image critique on one page as it currently stands so we can have good discussion. I'm worried that if we move the IC to another page, we'll lose interest in the general discussion or people will only bookmark the IC page.

If you're interested in other compelling remarks, check out some of the comments on the RMNP forum (i realize the members of that forum are 1000+ miles away and can do whatever they want and it doesn't affect us, but just my two cents).

Amy.....I can see their point (and yours!), in a way and have given thought to the discussion forum and how that might be affected.
I think our own gallery might be helpful for those who don't normally post in the regular galleries and for beginners who might be afraid to do so. This can provide encouragement for all in the long run. We'll give it a try and see how it goes.
As for the discussion forum...that's something we will all have to work at a bit harder to keep it alive and interesting!

OK, your new gallery is set up and ready to go! There is a link to it in the MWNP header (right side) and you can also use the main drop-down menus.
