The one who gave me a headache
I'm not sure how long it took me to get this image but I'm sure it has been longer then two months. My goal was to have a jay on this perch but they always seem to land next to it. Today was my lucky day and now I can sleep at night without waking up every hour, dripping with sweat

I know...maybe not the most special image or moment but I just want to show you that some images take more time and effort. Don't give up to quickly.

Very well executed Edwin with some fantastic detail and as usual, perfect colour. The Blue Tit & Nuthatch (?) worked well and very authentic for me, however I'm not sure on this one Edwin, looks stuffed  Surely not???? LOL.

Congrates :toast: :toast:

A lovely Jay shot Edwin
They're very timid aren't they.
Glad you finally got the shot.

Geoff.

Terrific shot Edwin, have been trying for years - let alone months - this is just stunning. :toast:

Cheers everyone. Of course I've not been in my hide for two months but I've been there nearly every day for about 2 or 3 hours. Always landing next to the perch which was frustrating. Was thinking about removing the perch but that would have made it impossible for the bird to land on it, wouldn't it

After four days of trying to get the right pose on the right perch with the right BG I am of the opinion that jays were named incorrectly. They should have been called b*****ds. Infront, behind, at the side, behind the nettles....you name it, but not on the perch. This is a magnificent example of a jay and I would be proud to have anything remotely this good. :toast:

 So you worked with Jays too. Agree with you for 100%. They are a menace.
