Can anyone help please Im tring to get to grips with CS3, and Ive noticed that when I view my shots in Raw mode in the Cannon utilities editing suite they seem to look better than when I open them in CS3 and the end product which is saved as a jpeg file.

Many Thanks

Adam, there will be a difference between the two as they are two separate software programmes and DPP in not a dedicated to Adobe, therefore you will need to make tweaks in PS to get a similar feel/look to your images. You may find that using Capture One, ACR or another type of RAW converter might work better, but DPP does give good results when processed correctly.

Adam,

It would be helpful if you were a bit more specific, the reason could be one of many....

There are a lot of variables involved, for instance the colour profile that each program is using. Can you outline your workflow? It will be easier to pin point any problem....

What colour space are you saving the processed RAW file in, and what colour space have you set in CS3? When you convert to jpg, you should make sure that you are saving the file in the sRGB colour space.
