Clown Anemonefish
Got back from Borneo yesterday morning and am now a member here! It was fantastic with great opportunities. We took a Canon D10 with us for use underwater which I loved. Unfortunately, half-way through our trip, my Sigma 50-500 lens stopped autofocusing (although I knew it would happen eventually) so I had to use manual focus, which is very hard for birds and monkeys and especially when you are shooting from a boat. Anyways, it has opened up an opportunity for me to start looking for a second hand 200-400 f4 VR and so I cannot wait to get one of these!

Here is a clown anemonefish taken just off Lankayan Island.

Canon D10
F11.0
1/60s
ISO 400
On-camera flash

Hi Oscar,

I like the clown fish, although that white band could do with toning down a bit if possible. I also like the attitude that a broken lens represents an upgrade opportunity

Oscar

I'm most impressed with your Clown Fish, I had two weeks diving in the Red Sea in August but didn't manage anything of this quality.

By the way your damaged lens may still have some value I know a chap that will possibly be able to repair the lens or use parts. So all may not be lost. I'm back in the UK 8/12/10 if I can help.

That's a great looking fish and nicely composed Oscar. The whites are a bit hot but maybe this can be rescued in your processing package. :toast:

It's true that the whites are a little cooked, but you have made a fine job of this all the same. Comp is just right too.
