When printing with my 2200, I have no problems with the "sheet" feed. However, when I try to use the "manual feed" for Velvet Fine paper or others, the 2200 will print maybe 2 pages. Then it goes kooky on me! It will say that the paper lever is not in the proper position or the paper is not loaded correctly. I've double checked all that. I've shut down everything and started over. Sometimes it works again for a few pages, sometimes not at all. This is the FIRST time I've had any problems with the 2200 since I bought it 5 or 6 years ago brand new when the model came out.
Any suggestions? I'm not a computer wizard but I'll try anything to get this fixed. I've got some major printing to do in the next 3 weeks and I'm getting very frustrated.
Thanks...Beth

Beth, I've never experienced this problem exactly but what I can tell you is that every time I've had any issue with using the manual slot it's been because I forgot to put the lever in the correct position. You say you double checked everything so that seems unlikely to be your problem but since manual feed requires feeding each sheet individually, AND it requires taking the lever out of position to insert the page and then put it back, it is easy to not have the lever in the correct position. So, no offense but triple check that :-). I can't imagine the issue is software or computer related but then I'm not that much of a computer guru either.
About the only thing I can offer for you to try is this. If you are printing multiple pages of the same image, do not tell the printer to print them all requiring it to automatically pause until you load the next sheet. When it does, it probably displays an error message about being out of paper. Sometimes with Epson it seems that when the printer gets an error message, it does strange things. In the print menu simply say quantity "1", print that one, then go back and say print "1" again and keep doing so until you get the quantity you want. A bit more work but not that much since you must load each page anyway.
Good luck,
John

Thanks, John. I don't ever do multiple pages, always one at a time. And I'll triple check the lever position as well as the paper.
