Hi,

Finally managed to get one of these at the weekend, used a portable feeder at an old haunt after leaving the gulls in peace....

A lot of maintainance work has been carried out on the walkways with heavy machinery and the birds are just starting to return after a couple of very bare months...

All the best

Love the colours in this one, Phil :toast: (I feel that I'm the last one not having a shot of LTT)

Phil,
Lovely detail in the bird and smooth background. These are one of my nemesis birds ( one of many  ) I never seem to capture the "essence" of these lovely little birds. I think the pose and detail in this one does just this. Well done.

Hi Phil,

I think this is an excellent shot.I find getting a pose that you're really happy with challenging enough, but to get such an appealing one as shown here is quite an achievement.
I love the 'over the shoulder look' and especially how the pose shows off that long tail so well, especially as it's pretty much on the same plane as the birds' head and body, which is a bonus.
I find the soft light, attractive perch and great background colour all work really well too.

Originally I thought it would be best to crop out the leaf on the right, now I'm not so sure.

Very nice - clean and sharp image.

I like the pose you caught it in and the background colour.
