I am looking for display bins in the art show tents - some of the things that I have found looks very good (e.g. propanel or displays4sale.com ) but very expensive. I am wondering is there a better value, but still professional looking alternative?

Also, what you guys do to transport big framed/canvas prints to the show? What kind of boxes do you pack them in? where do you buy those boxes? Many told me that they built their own custom boxes - but I am looking for more readymade solutions.

Thanks for your help

Arnab, sorry for the quick response earlier as I was pressed for time. Yes I do shows on a medium scale as compared to others, right now doing about 6-10 a yr. What I use for my bins is the black canvas sling type holders medium and large and large sizes. I have 4 that I use for the 3-4 standard size bagged and matted prints that I sell. I bought them from Blick Art Supplies. Thebe held up well for the past 4 yrs and still look real nice. You see these slings in retail stores all the time. Best thing about them is they are light , store easy and out of the way and they are very

As for the Transport of framed goods, up until this yr I did like most and used boxes and wrapped them with bubble wrap, or some sort of cloth. This yr, I made my own padded packing pouches made from a design from a woman off the website I mentioned earlier. The material is a reflective insulation used in home building. It is inexpensive when bought in large rolls, takes little time to make, reflects heat / cold from your piece, and has protected and held up remarkably. Search for it on the site if you haven't seen it already. The reflectivity of the pouch also catches peoples eye and the start asking questions. A great conversation starter! Hope this helps.

Thanks Mitch. That's very helpful. I have not seen that thread in artfairinsider - will look for it. If I can't find it, I will come back to you

Arnab - check out Dick Blick.com. I recently purchased some very nice wooden display bins from them for like $50 apiece. No assembly required, they are light, fold well, and look great.
