OK, after 4 full days of trying to get my ideal jay shot I gave up. I did get this fellow while waiting however ;) so no complaints. Sat right where I wanted the jay too.

very nice shot, detail in the blacks and whites are well held, i do find the reds a little vivid but probably just me
An excellent shot, just as difficult to get close to as a Jay
Well done.
Geoff.

A good quality image Neil, just not of a Jay !
Nice background as well.

It's funny isn't it - I get quite a few visits from Jays and occasionally an OK image or two. Any spotted woodpecker hides on the other side of the tree, or is up in the canopy - so I am jealous - great shot. Colours look good to me.

not a bad substitute for a Jay
Lovely detailed shot and a very nice capture.
Dont give up on those Jays, it was some time before mine would give me the time of day. Now they come so close I just cant focus.
well done
