I took this shot in the late afternoon on October 24, at the mouth of Pruitt Hollow on the Buffalo River. With the help of Randy Wilson I'm learning how to identify possible shooting locations for this kind of image by studying maps in The Photographer's Ephemeris. Now, in addition to lists such as "good sunrise locations", I'm building a list of "good fall reflection locations".

Sweet John. You caught some nice color and light.

Classic Arkansas fall image John. Looks like you're putting the PE to much better use than I am. I need to check it out further to learn all it's secrets.

Great afternoon light, John.

I've been wondering how your backpack trip down the Buffalo turned out, and it looks like you got at least one keeper. You put together a good combination of afternoon light, nice fall color, and a reflecting pool to magnify the other two. I bet there are more keepers to come.
