Great images so far. Here's my token "stinker"; every contest needs at least one.

How about a wildlife image? Here's one of my favs from earlier this year.

Now there's some excellent black and whites! A great mix of scenes and personal touches.
Joshua, I still think that shot is crazy cool!
And mine is just crazy This is a conversion put through the inversion filter. I always have been a little backward.

Some great submissions so far! Here is my contribution from Red Rock Lake, near Indian Peaks Wilderness.

Sweet shots so far, even your so called "stinker" DJ I posted this one a few weeks ago in Man and Nature. I struggle with B and W processing and for once I think this doesn't look like a muddy mess. Taken in Tincup, Colorado.
OK. I'll stay on track with a regional BW for a change. Here is a shot from Lower Antelope Canyon.

'Moonrise Over Chimney Rock'
Some mighty tough acts to follow here. A sheer pleasure viewing all of the great submissions!

Wow, gorgeous B & W images posted! Since I lived in the southwest for a number of years, I must admit I absolutely love the "Moonrise Over Chimney Rock" image. Absolutely stunning.
Great stuff everyone! I don't do B&W (maybe some day, but for now I actually prefer limiting my options), but I wanted to voice some complements for all the great work on this thread. John, that Chimney Rock shot is awesome!

Jack, I love your Red Mountain Pass image! And John, that Moonrise shot is simply stunning.
Here's one of a beaver pond near Buena Vista. I went old school here, using a Mamiya RB67, a 180mm lens, and TMax 100 film. You know, the stuff your grandparents used to take pictures with?

There is some excellent B&W work here! Here is my contribution. I just found out that this image won first place in the Hays Art Council Five State Regional Photography show.

I just purchased Silver EFX and played around with a couple of shots from Az. I'm not sure the name of this formation but as you can see it overlooks Lake Powell.

Another one from Az. If there are any tips or how-to's I should check out regarding Silver EFX, don't be afraid to speak up.
