Carrion Crow (+ D3s video)
Hey all. Nothing exotic I'm afraid. Just a simple image taken the other day whilst out in the local park with my newly aquired D3s. I was actually shooting video to test it out for the first time (you can see the video here if interested) and this is a still I shot between video clips, taken after the sun had set behind a cloudy horizon.

D3s, 600mm, 1/60, f5, ISO 4000, no noise reduction

Nice Richard, very nice. I do like your colours and tones. The D3s nearly had me swapping systems, that is one mean noise cruncher. But then I bought a new Canon lens instead :)

Hi Richard, A great first video and I am sure we will see a lot more videos from you going forward.

I like the crow. It is a good angle and a nice range of tones. For ISO4000 at 1/60th with no NR then the quality is excellent. ( and that's not easy for a Canon man to say...)

Cheers

Austin

I thought the video was superb actually. If you are starting from there the future promises to be very impressive. As for the image above - well I like that a lot too. Lovely soft tones to it.
Great stuff all round.
