I'm been trying to get a reasonable photograph of this hard to get to tree for a good six months now but never happened upoun good enough light until a week or so ago. Thoughts welcome, Tristan

Hello Tristan.
My thoughts are what a stunning shot and I can only image how good this will look when enlarged.
Love the use of the braken for the foreground, and just enough leaves left on the trees to put some nice colour in the image, but at the same time showing the lovely shapes of the branches.
Lovely

I just think it is really very beautiful. The richness of the colours in the foreground, the tracery of leaves and branches, and the light coming through makes it a superb composition.

This looks wasted at 720 pixels. I'd love to see it much larger. I find the comp really interesting too, an intriguing shot. eric
I like the radial composition, heighten by the tree not being central in the image. Given you cannot see the ends of the branches it makes you wonder what they are reaching out for. Eye drawn to the sun very fast though.

Hi Tristan,
Nice composition in a potentially busy area. I like the overall composition, colour and real tones. Probably one of the best landscapes on here recently.
