I was over at RAF Lakenheath yesterday afternoon, hoping to catch some aircraft, but the weather closed in and so I started paying attention to the local crows who always seem to be active.

Shortly after the heavens opened, I caught this crow taking advantage of the tiny puddles that had started to form in the uneven concrete surface. It looked at times like its head was superglued to the ground or it was listening for something, native indian style!

Anyway, I thought I'd share it.

Good action shot Ian
Caught the blue sheen well which doesn't always come out on these.
Cheers

ps
It looks like a Rook by the way.

Oops! Thanks for the correction John, I was never very good on my Rooks and Crows!

Interesting behavioural shot. I can see a few diagonal streaks of rain, I wondered if it might be worth playing with the levels to highlight these and add to the story?
