Waxwing
I've been trying for these beauties for some time and kept missing them during the last invasions. However, found my first flock today and they did come down reasonably low in the canopy. Not an easy subject though, always jumping about and flapping, bouncing up and down on the branches and there always seemed to be a twig in the way! Hopefully the cleaner images will come in due course. In the meantime its just a pleasure to see such stunning birds.

1D3 700mm ISO 400 1/800 sec @ f/5.6 (tripod)

Thanks for looking

Thanks all  Steve, they are as far across as the Lancs border now. Some were very early across it seems. They have been using the corridor of lower land just south of the Yorkshire Dales.
