Dipper on the rocks
One from a very nice days shooting yesterday  Not much light to be had as the sun never shone on us.

We went for Dippers and got em always good. The river was running a bit high and fast.

I wanted to capture the speed of the water and getting a Dipper to stay still while shooting at between 1/80th to 1/160 sec was interesting. It resulted in quite a few blurred water and Dipper shots

200-400 with 1.4 TC
1/100 sec at f7.1 ISO 400

Very well captured Ian. I can feel the mood of low light really good.
You did a fine job with showing the running water and the still bird.

Ian

This is a clever image the dual capture of action and static subject really appeals.

Well done.

Cheers :toast:

I was amazed at how these little birds could swim against the force of the river. They are tough little cookies

Nice movement in the water and good POV. Being a month or two younger you can get lower down than I can (and you chose the spot without the cow pat)
