I can't even remember the last time I posted an image around here. Too long really. I let my membership lapse for too long, but it was time again.
Anyway, here is an image from Fall 2009 believe it or not! I'm so far behind, I just got those 4x5 trans scanned about 3 months ago! This is one of my favorites from that trip, just a cool little area in the Gunnison National Forest that I camped in and must have shot for hours. Tons of great little intimate stuff. Thanks for looking!

Very nice Brent. Those are some cool patterns. I see just a bit of magenta in the lighter tones.

Mel's right about the magenta, but it's a killer shot with an easy fix.

Good to see you posting again Brent. This is a nice image with many interesting textures and an uncommon point of view. Proof that even in an "off" year for fall color, like '09 was, there are always things that can be photographed well if you look for them.

A great mix of the understory color and the white boles. Very striking!

Nice placement of the aspen boles in the composition that leads my eyes from front to rear.

Fix the pink and this is amazing!

What's wrong with pink--it has a calming effect on people, ya know...
Seriously, a cool shot!

I love the texture and color of those leaves contrasting with the apsen.
At this size the bare brush branches in the foreground don't bother me, but I wonder if they might become a distraction in a larger print?

Suh-weet! Lovin that color.

Not on aspen trunks

Thanks everyone! So, I'm getting the impression the trunks are a bit pink? I'll try to play with that tonight and repost. My old Epson flatbed scanner scans unbelievably magenta and I always have to compensate, so maybe I need to just go a bit further! :) Thanks again!

Even with the pink tint, this is a wonderful image.

Great comp and I like the vegetation below the trees.
