Hi all, first off may I say thanks for the C&C's on yesterdays, and in fact all my uploads, as they can only help me improve ! Tonights upload was taken while out taking shots of a Heron in the morning light. It was impossible to resist having a crack at this, as the light was stunning! It's Eileen Donan Castle, on the shore of Loch Duich, near Inverinate, in The Highlands. The image is full frame, and is a blend of 7 exposures, in Photomatix Pro 4, and Tone Mapped. A curves adjustment was then made in CS5. All C&C's most welcome.
Regards,
Paul Rosser.

Touch bright for me, a slight curves adjust should sort it, could be my monitor though. Nothing woring with the colours though.

Hi Paul, cracking image! Makes me want to get back up to Scotland again!! I'm no landscape expert and can't make my mind up about the rocks and wood leading to the right. Sometimes when I look at the image they lead me towards the castle and then again they lead me out of the image If that makes sense!!!
Paul overall I like the image very much. I do agree though I think it is a little on the bright side. I am certainly no landscape expert either but agree with Scott having mixed feelings about the rocks leading away from the castle. I wonder what it would have been like without the rocks and more of a pano image. Just a thought.

Hi Paul,
overall a very nice shot
It looks a bit too light and the plank of wood bottom right hand corner looks really out of place. Maybe you could have moved the the left a bit and then again you might have been in the drink if you had
