Well, we have sorted the lens incident - parents thought it would be best to send this one back and get the one which had never been opened which had 12 months warranty and was an insurance replacement. Thanks for your help - it arrives on Wednesday
While I tried it yesterday, I thought it was fantastic - amazing quality and focus speed.
Anyway, this was taken last summer while there were lots of these around.

Oscar, that is a great capture. Perhaps just a little more room on the right, but that's only my personal preference. I also think there is a dust spot on your sensor - see the right hand edge just above the lower Dameselfly's wing. Andrew

Hi Oscar
Quite nice little shot of damselflies. You need to remove the dust spot on the upper right of the lower damselfly. Looks like you might have been able to go to f13-f16 (lower shutter speed though) with a background as good as that.

A great capture Oscar
I'd clone out the dust spot and that white V under the end of the wing of the upper insect.
Well done.
Geoff.

Very nice Oscar, composition is good, but maybe a little more to the left, great detail and sharpness, one suggestion I would have is getting the camera lens in parallel to the subject, where possible, to get the wings sharp as well. Like to see more.
