This is a first of a series of images I took in Scotland a couple of weeks ago. This is a panoramic sticht of 3 images (conversion really kills it to be honest). The weather was drab allmost all day but during the afternoon we had some sunshine to light up this great collection of birches.
Also; many thanks to Peter Cairns & Mark Hamblin for a great trip!

Its an attractive scene right enough, but it would be a much stronger image if there was something to draw the eye and hold the viewers attention in the grassy area between the banks of trees. The dark mound on the bottom edge of the frame next to your (c) is something of a distraction that you might want to address if you are going to make a print. Others may disagree of course
I'm no landscaper Jorne but I find something a little lacking in this shot. I think I would like to see the tops of the trees on the left and so give a little bit of space above the trees to the right.

I feel completely differently. This shot has some very nice light in it and is very beautiful (I encourage others to look at the larger version as details are lost in the smaller file). The darker background sets of the gold and green tones of the birch trees. The bracken tones (left and right) are very nice too. Nice capture Jorne...look forward to more from your trip.

Nice colour light and texture trees do draw you in well. Agree with you, realy should be viewed bigger.
