I still have not gotten around to processing much from my day out in the Camargue at Easter. I wanted lower perspectives but a rather impressive storm meant the ground was a touch muddy. This was from the car shortly before sunset.

Nice image Neil. I've always found these very difficult birds to photograph in their entirety. You've done well here!

Lovely lighting on the bird and I like the way the reflection just appears to be 'heating' the water. Have you applied any saturation to this or is it as shot?

Cheers guys. This was pretty much as shot but I did add a blurred layer (multiply) to add a touch of ethereal glow and lower my slight overexposure.

Very striking, would have been easy to blow the detail out of this, nicely done.Thats a place I will visit someday, looking forward to seeing more from that trip.

A very vivid image - I also wondered about the colour and I think I might prefer it without the "glow".

I will try to post a no-glow version but as I fly to Mauritius for 2 weeks tomorrow it might have to wait

OK, simply converted this from DPP (-.5 exposure), cropped slightly and levels. Probably needs sharpening come to think of it.
