1D2n, 600mm f4 is, 1/800s, f6.3, iso 200. Beanbag from car.
Having said I had nothing new yesterday, this chap obliged today in some nice light. I took out a few grass strands. He is actually sitting on an overgrown wall!

Excellent capture Ian. I like the comp, and the pose coupled with the eye contact make this image stand out for me. eric

Hi Ian
A lovely natural looking shot - nice to see something happening as a lot of images of this species (including my own) tend to be simple portraits.
As already said a wonderful image. The eye contact, light and composition makes the image. An Ad agency will love this!
Great stuff

Shows the extent of the curl these birds have in the primaries no wonder there like rockets. The wall has provided a very clean background.Very nice, great colour.
