Looks like you had some very harsh lighting, you've handeled it pretty well though. Perhaps a little tight in the frame?

Hi Mark.
Really good image tiny nit it looks a tad dark around it's face from where i'm looking but as a pointed out it looks like you had some difficult conditions ,still a super image.

I agree with the above comments re lightening the face and a bit more space but it's still a lovely image and I particularly like all the complimentary shades on the rusted iron perch, the background and the orange chest. NIce one

Terrific perch! Harsh lighting though and I feel this is a bit of a half-way house. I wonder about darkening it a good bit, leaving just the rim-lighting and an air of mystery in the overall image. Look forward to seeing more.

I agree with the above comments, still a great capture though
Well done.

Mark, sorry but the light just does not work for me as it is neither one thing nor another. Andrew

I think it needs a tad more space around it maybe, and is a little dark around the face for me and the white to white, the light did look difficult though

Hi Mark,

Nits already covered. Harsh lighting is always difficult to handle, but you have handled the exposure well under the circumstances.
