Short Eared Owl at Dusk
The shorties were showing again yesterday afternoon but not always where I wanted them. Still not easy to get the images, the site was a little busier which cut down the usuable angles on flight shots. Mustn't grumble as I am sure my not too insignificant bulk was at times in the way as well.

Nikon D3X with Nikon 600mm lens and 1.7TC.
1/640sec, F6.7 at ISO 400.
PP in LR3. Full Frame.

Jules, I must admit that I am very lazy when it comes to sharpening for this forum as I just run the images throught LR3's standard sharpen for screen, so it may take a bit more. There is also a lot of haze which has been accentuated by shooting into the sun which you may be noticing. Andrew

It means to emphasize, heighten or make more conspicuous.

Hello Andrew.

Love the feel and atmosphere to this and the composition is spot on.
