Been getting e-mails from Mikes Camera and KEH about an event this week at the three Mikes locations regarding KEH coming to town and buying/trading equipment. I might have a few items to get rid of.
Anyone have any experience with KEH at these events? I've bought a few items from them in the past and got good deals.
Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads-up Bob. I might drop by the Boulder store to catch KEH on Friday. I'd be interested to see what they are willing to offer, but expect it to be very low.

I did wait in a LONG line to see the KEH reps at the Boulder store today - they will be at the other Mike's locations tomorrow and Sunday.
Regarding the KEH "experience". If you want a rough estimate of your equipment's value, check out their website and assume they will offer you ~ 50%-60% of their sales price. If you are willing to take in-store credit, rather than cash, you will get an additional 10%.
Lots of people were there trying to dump film equipment, especially medium format. One of the guys ahead of me had a suitcase filled with pristine Hasselblad gear. The KEH reps immediately warned him that they could not offer much, and that $10,000 worth of original gear would get him about $1,200. So, even with a "renaissance" in MF digital, the market for the older manual focus lenses is still dismal, relative to the rather abundant supply...and film bodies are next to worthless.
So, I believe most people will be much happier after a purchase from KEH. rather than a sale to them.

I went to the Mikes in Park Meadows today...only waited about 30 minutes. Did pretty well, and took the store credit, which I'm sure I can use.
