Aerial Acrobat
Another image of a Barn Swallow flying through the stable door.
This is the second picture that I took in a series of shots when working with these Aerial Acrobats.

shutter 1/125
High Speed Flash

Excellent Dale :toast:

Andrew: " But 45 views and no replies! Andrew " seems about the norm at the moment

I agree - balances the habitat and subject well.
Agree with Ians point too. Forum gone a bit strange lately in that respect.

It's another cracking shot of it's type, but it took me a long time to get round the optical illusion of the skylight, which appeared like a rather dominant beam initially - am I the only one to get it?
Posted by Robert Lawrence on November 18, 2010 at 3:53 PM
Certainly not Ian, I had that comment in mind when I was scrolling down but you have beaten me to it.
A cracking shot but that skylight definitely detracts for me.
Posted by Dale Sutton on November 18, 2010 at 5:18 PM
If anything I think it adds to the picture Ian and Robert as it proves I have balanced natural light with flash witch without this skylight you would not see, also where dose it stop, if the skylight wasn't there you would then be saying the door catch on the left detracts.
I think sometimes people are just dying to find falt.

Dale

Not fault-finding at all. Sometimes these illusions just grab you and it took a long time for it to click "the right way round" - then it became very clear what it was. In fact, as I look again, the damn thing keeps inverting back and forward! It's not your fault that my brain sees it this way. When I see it the right way, it looks fantastic. When it inverts, it is a detraction. I think you might have misinterpreted what I intended to say.
