Red Grouse
1D Mk iv, 600mm f4, 1/320s, f7.1, iso 200.

Another from the short session the other day. It was taken with a beanbag on the car window and I was a bit overpowered. I added a little canvas and hope it isn't too obvious.

Hi Ian
Great shot, is he strutting his stuff or shaking a leg?

Hi Ian, spent a lot of time with these birds and they are great fun and this pose is excellent. Nice habitat which compliments the clean BG and good colouration/detail in the plumage. You might find you can get some fine detail out of that eye.

Well with this one and your previous grouse posting I guess you must have hit on a covey tuning up for 'Strictly'!!
Another great image.
