Shindig, party, get-together, gathering...whatever you'd like to call it. Is it too early to start working on a date? I'd really like to attend but I need to plan ahead since it's a 6 hour drive from Moab.

*edit* I am going to make this sticky so it can be an active discussion - Jim

Just take the high speed rail, oh wait, that's right, we don't have one!!! :jump:

Although there have been exceptions, it is usually the Saturday of the weekend between the end of the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl. If that works for you then let's run it by the powers that be.

I agree with Bret, let's start discussions on this and get it on the calendar. Last year was a blast!

I lead a boring life and most of my weekends are free so anytime is good. Like Koveh said, last year was terrific!

I'm ready!!! Hope we can get Qube again...that place is fantastic and Brent has always been an awesome host!

Where?

Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto. It's only the highlight of my pathetically lonely existence for the year!

Just last week I talked with Big D to see if we coudl get Qube again and he said that wouldnt be a problem. The superbowl is February 6, 2011. So our choices are teh two saturdays before.

Let us know which dates you prefer.

Jan 22, 2011 or Jan 29, 2011?

Either weekend works for me. I missed the last one, so would sure like to make the next.
Posted by Bill Pelzmann on November 21, 2010 at 2:40 PM
Either date is fine.
Qube is such a great location. Thanks again, Brent.
Posted by Morris McClung on November 21, 2010 at 4:00 PM
Qube is excellent! Thanks, Brent. Either date. Not much help so far, are we?
Posted by Howard Cihak on November 21, 2010 at 4:30 PM
Unless this is restricted to an in-group, I'd like to know where Qube is.

Thanks for starting this thread, Bret. I'm flying in from Indianapolis so it's never too soon to start planning. My sister is planning to come out with me this year (we're going to mix in a ski trip with the shindig) so I'll check her schedule. Both weekend are free for me at this moment.

Jan. 29 gets my vote, but that's just me.

Howard: Qube = Qube Visual which is a display graphics company/former photo lab on Santa Fe Drive in Denver where we've held the majority of these "shindigs" in the past few years.

Either is good for me! Always a highlight of the year, love hosting it! For those who have never been, here's a good recap of one year. 2007 Shindig ( I picked this one since it had pictures).

free to all, except Aleks, who must gain entry with beer! :toast:

Brent, I'm not sure I can pull of the beer this year but maybe we can work something out

Either works for me. Hopefully this will get me going back into photography and less work work.. It's been a very busy year with little time for me and my camera. Poor things getting lonely :(
Posted by Bret Edge on November 24, 2010 at 11:18 AM
Bummer, I can't make either weekend. There's always 2012. Y'all have a great time! :toast:
Posted by Mel Ladewig on November 24, 2010 at 2:18 PM
Your company will definitely be missed Bret.
Posted by Brent Doerzman on November 24, 2010 at 2:42 PM
If Bret's not coming, it's not happening! :frown:

Bummer man! Been too long since I've seen you guys!
Posted by Bret Edge on November 24, 2010 at 4:49 PM
Thanks, Mel and Brent! I wish we could attend. That first weekend we'll be at the Outdoor Retailer show in SLC and the next weekend I'm working. If OR falls through we'll definitely be there. Would love to see everyone, catch up and share war stories about the photo that got away.

Either works for me... looking forward to it.

Whoa..... the 29th is my only free weekend from January through July. Maybe I will fly out and join everyone.

Do it Jimmy! :toast:
