700mm f7.1 1/640 iso400 Full Frame
Hi all
Visited my local seal colony today - not Donna Nook - and lay on the cold sand for an hour whilst waiting for this 12hr old pup to move!
Probably not to everyones taste as the subjects partly shot through the 'mush' but I like it!
Usual nob-heads about - all the latest and expensive camera gear and not an iota of sense, let alone empathy for the wildlife. I'm longing for a lens with a sniper attatchment!

Great shot Simon - I like the mush, and the eye contact is great

Lovely seal shot- especially like the position and whiskers..
A real nit is - I wish the mush had been a fraction lower.-just to get a bit more "guts" in that bottom eye.
Cheers

Agree with John here, the mush is just that little bit too 'high'... a great and endearing subject... we were there last year and it was certainly better than Donna IMO...

Beautiful image. I'm ok with the mush as for me its all about that one eye and the whiskers.
The only nit for me would be for a little more room at the bottom as I find the pup just a little to close.
Lets hope this site doesn't turn into another Donna Nook
