Sunrise Summit County
The last few days we have had some really soft edge clouds in Summit County. I am sure Stan Rose has the technical term for these clouds at this time of year. Friday morning I saw a wonderful sunrise developing in the East with clear skies in the West. After shooting the incredible sunrise colors I waited to see if the "prism look" in the clouds would develop. I was rewarded with the prism look and the sun coming up, showing thru the thin clouds in photo #3.

Very nice! Like the color of the clouds.

In typical Canon fashion, the reds and oranges look clipped to me in the first two, but it's still a spectacular sight. On that last one, it could easily be mistaken for the moon. I love that shot!

Wow! I just love that 3rd one.

The third one is really cool! The first two have captured one outstanding sunrise! Well done.

Yeah, that third one is unique and well captured!

Great shots Bob. Have to say the orange in the sky looks way overdone on my monitor.

Guys- Thanks for the comments. Per Todd's comments, I went back and checked for clipping. I had the blacks set at 5 in LR3. Backed it off to 3 and clipping was gone. Did not use any saturation sliders. Any other suggestions? It was a very unusual sunrise but, I also want to represent it correctly.

Despite the over-saturation I like the colors in #1 & 2.
