Steens Aspen Fish Creek
My friend Ron and I camped at The Steens in late September early October. The Aspen were at their peak. I believe this area has one of the largest stands of Aspen in Oregon. We were camped at Jackman Park at 7,700 feet. This image is early in the sunrise on October 1st. Very peaceful with wonderful directional light.

I recently sold my Arca-Swiss 4x5 and lenses and purchased my first digital camera, a Canon EOS 5D MKII. For this image I used the 24 - 105 L lense at 70 mm, f/8 and 1/15 sec. processed in LR3. It prints just beautifully. The web image comes out a bit too saturated in the reds just to let you know.

Phil,
We now have and Image critique forum where we are posting images now. Can you delete this and post it in the IC forum? Just go to the IC link at the top of the page next to the forum. BTW nice image and good hearing from you. :toast:

Erik,

OK, now how do I delete my post? I am logged in and do not see a delete function. And, what are the image size maximums for the IC gallery?

Thanks,

Phil Knouf

Erik,

Thanks for pointing me to the posting guidlines. I have previously read them. I was unclear of the posting guidlines for the IC Gallery as that gallery was not mentioned in the guidlines. But after going to the IC Galleryand seeing some members image posts and their use of the additional larger image post cleared things up for me. Please go ahead and delete this post in it's entirety.

Thanks,

Phil Knouf
