wild
Common as muck but think "when was the last time you saw one" sure we all see plenty of tails but rarely the whole animal .

This chap (and yes it was definatly male) was as bold as brass ,as were about 20 of his mates !
i think they were probably thinking why is there a man sitting in the middle of nowhere, on wet grass ,looking at us down a funny tube that goes click

This actually makes them look cute  I was actually trying to photograph one yesterday but it seemed to be camera shy. Every time I pointed the lens at it, it took off.

Hi Simon
I reckon a slight right rotation and a bit tighter crop gets rid of some of the mush, and increases the impact of the main subject. Thats just my personal taste and others will dissagree.
Like it though.
Last time I saw one in the garden was 15 years ago !
Cheers

Nice shot Simon :toast:

Looks fine as is ( I like mush )

Last time I saw one was sitting in the engine compartment of my old Porsche which has been laid up in the garage for a couple of years. Dont know who was more shocked it or me

Well captured, not my favourite animal but they have the right to live too I guess.
Well done.

Geoff.

Hi Simon

I think you should make more of this opportunity - perhaps build a more attractive scenario into which the rat(s) can be lured. A much under-photographed and under-estimated subject.

Cheers,
Chris
