Well, now that I missed entering the Fall contest (kinda glad I didn't, amazing stuff! ), I can finally post a couple images from my short fall trip this year.
My last night out, I was treated to a great late afternoon storm that swept though and cleared just in time for sunset. Sadly, the colored clouds moved north by sunset, away from the peaks, but I still had a great light show a bit earlier, as shown here. Thanks for looking!

Hey buddy, you promised us "a couple images," so WHERE ARE MY OTHER IMAGES!!! If they're anything like this one, you should've entered the contest.

Looks pretty darned contest capable to me. Very nice elements of drama and color, plus it's pleasing to the eye.

Not only a natural beauty, but quite unique. I like it a lot!

Goodness--thats pretty sick, Brent! maybe a little more blue, less purple (??)

Beautiful moody shot! Love the scale the road adds.

Brightly colored and moody at the same time. A nice contrast.

Gorgeous shot...love the luminosity of those fg aspen. Next year I gotta make it back to mountains come autumn.
Nice job Mr. D. Looks great. StanD is right just a nip shifting purple here too. Comp and exposure are spot on.

Great capture.

Nice work Brent. There's no mistaking that for anything but Velvia. I have no complaints about the image. Its certainly a straightforward approach to remove the hue shift from the sky, but its the look of the film to shift that way, so I don't find it to be a big distraction.

Wow, really like this. Might agree with Stan maybe just a touch too much purple in the background, but this works just fine as well.
Great shot! Love the mood and gradual transition of lighting from background to foreground.
I would leave a little purple in the sky. Purple is yellow's complement on the color wheel - making the two colors appear brighter. Also, when you mix purple with yellow you get brown (e.g. the underbrush in foreground) making this image, as a whole, very aesthetically pleasing.

Love those contrasts, beautiful work.

Great contrasts here; stormy-clear, sunny-cloudy, yellow-purple. Nice! BTW, I really like the purple.

Great color. Like the way the mountains are covered by the clouds.
Exactly the kind of fall color shot I love! I do agree with Stan about the purple; pushing towards blue I think would make even more sombre and moody, which is a good thing in my book.

Great shot! Love the moodiness in the clouds. I can go either way on the hue.
Great shot, I love the dichotomy between the sunlit area and stormy mountains.

Thanks so much everyone, and sorry for the delay in responding. I haven't had a chance to play with it regarding the purple, can't decide if I want to. :) I'll see what it looks like though.
I'm thinking I shouldn't have posted this one first, as its my favorite from the trip. Hope it's not all downhill from here!
